This former racing driver is pioneering jaguar conservation in Brazil

Mario Haberfeld used to race cars for Jaguar Brazil Racing. Today he champions the conservation of jaguars in Brazil and around the world. Haberfeld's charity, Onçafari, has pioneered a way to reintroduce jaguars into the wild. A successful project in Brazil’s Pantanal, the world’s biggest wetland, has also brought an ecotourism boom to the area and given the world a blueprint for big cat conservation. Here’s how they did it.
