The global economy is stabilizing. But it’s not all good news, say chief economists

Amid geopolitical tensions and the rapid rise of new technologies, what’s the outlook for the global economy? That’s what we asked some of the planet’s leading chief economists. Just over half said they expect the global economy to stabilize in the coming year, while 45% expect it to weaken - down from 89% who expected this in May’s survey. However, the path ahead remains uncertain, due to headwinds including asset-price corrections and global conflict.
