Umra Omar is a Kenyan humanitarian, social entrepreneur, and climate-health advocate, and the founder of Safari Doctors, a community-led organization delivering healthcare and advancing health equity in underserved and climate-vulnerable communities. A CNN Hero, Ashoka Fellow, WEF Young Global Leader, and Amujae Fellow, she has been recognized for pioneering locally led solutions. In 2022, Umra ran as a gubernatorial candidate for Lamu County, bringing her experience in grassroots leadership into Kenya’s political space.
