Bat-Orgil Bat-Erdene is the Co-founder and Chief Exploration Officer (CEO) of the New Nomad Institute. As a social entrepreneur and systems explorer, he focuses on addressing the climate crisis and advancing equitable, high-quality education throughout the steppe and beyond.

Previously, he led the flagship youth leadership and education programs at Zorig Foundation, a prominent NGO in Mongolia with a mission to advance democracy. He also produced explanatory journalism and led nonpartisan civic education campaigns at Unnu.news, an independent media outlet in Ulaanbaatar. As a policy practitioner, Bat-Orgil has provided consulting services to NGOs, local government agencies, and multilateral organizations like the Asian Development Bank. He is also an avid student of philosophy.

Bat-Orgil holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Arizona W.A. Franke Honors College and an MPA in Innovation, Public Policy, and Public Value from University College London as a Chevening Scholar. He has recently graduated from Tsinghua University with a Master's degree in Global Affairs as a Schwarzman Scholar.
